What is the trend for senior photos for the class of 2027

Outdoor or on-location senior photo sessions with a natural lifestyle feel are still the preference for the upcoming class of 2027 and have been for years, but what is new and fresh for these high school seniors?  Here is what I found out from the class of 2027!

While parks, fields, and urban settings are still popular choices for backdrops, the seniors I talked to want a more candid and natural style, less posed and capturing personality. Less of the perfect garden and more of the field of flowers and tall grass. Less of the upscale downtown area and more of the historic or charming look. Also popular are the use of industrial areas or parking garages.

Meaningful props are back like sports equipment, instruments, college t-shirts and beloved pets. These photos tell their story and feel unique to them. Guys are wearing their best suit from prom and girls are wearing at least one dress for a stylish look.

Studio settings are going to be the big add-on this year for those kids that want to have some photos that look more high-fashion or magazine style. This is also different from years past when almost all of the session has been outdoors. Bright colored backdrops and even black with dramatic lighting are new and fun choices for an individual look.
